Smartphones have found a new calling in cardiac rehabilitation, encouraging people to complete their post-heart attack treatment. Joshua Gliddon reports. The Challenge: Improve patient adherence to cardiac rehabilitation programs. The Approach: Provide each patient with a smartphone, daily motivational SMS messages, and weekly rehab content. The Challenge: Encourage GPs to join GP Partners’ PCEHR trial as one of the first wave sites. The Approach: GP Partners uses an ehealth system to connect GPs for secure information sharing.
