The National E-Health Transition Authority’s growth continues unabated as it rapidly heads towards the 2012 deadline for the introduction of the federal government’s $467 million personal electronic healthcare records scheme. According to NEHTA documents, spending on consultants has increased 67 percent over the last 12 months, a total of around $43.5 million, up from $26 million in 2008-09.
